Dhoni is a much much bigger celebrity than Sanjay Dutt...and how much did Dhoni biopic make?? 100+ crores...how much did it open for?? I think 15+ crores...How much did Sanju make...300+ crore...and opened 30+ crore...do the math...if you think that Ranbir had no role in making Sanju this big...no one is saying its only because of Ranbir...of course SD and Hirani have their parts...but discrediting Ranbir of taking it to 300 cr is hilarious...its Ranbir...yes Ranbir who brought Hirani's vision and SD's story to life on the big screen...if he had not pulled this to perfection the movie would have settled around 100 cr...People do not realize that playing a person who is alive and kicking and in the people's mind is so much more difficult than playing a fictional character or a real character from past whom people have not seen...because the actor has a liberty to make that character his own...while Ranbir didn't have that liberty...He had to be Sanjay Dutt or the movie would have plonked...Just like SSR had to be Dhoni for the movie to succeed...SSR also did his best...but his starpower being less than Biru...it could only pull the movie past 100 cr even though Dhoni is a bigger celebrity than even the Khans in India where cricket is religion...so lets not be ridiculous and deprive Biru of the credit and raise he deserves.
Did u heard sachin movie ? Sachin himself played !!yet it is average/hit .that doesnt mean he is less star than ranbir ..i believe he is much bigger than what ranbir and sanjay combined...but sanju clicked because here the credit goes to the director who knows how and what to show to audience which clicked ! His presentation to audience got clicked !period
