Is she the most intelligent star from current generation?? I feel so!!

This film also comes at a time when the nepotism debate is raging. Do you feel the wrath of that on social media?

I underestimated how angry people are. They are pissed off. But I can't judge. I can understand where their frustration is coming from. It must be hard. I do feel cornered and bullied at times. Like, "why are you so angry? Maybe I suck, but give me a chance.

I feel a responsibility towards them as well. I understand that you feel like you have been robbed of an opportunity that has been handed to me. I'm sure there are people who are more talented than me, and more good looking than me I promise you there are. But I am not going to pass on this opportunity just because... (trails off). It's a big deal for me. Why the hell should I give it up? The only thing I can do is value it and make the most of it. It is wrong and messed up if I take advantage of it, am complacent and think it is my birthright to be here. I know it is not. I know I need to earn people's love. I know I need to work ten times harder because there is a stigma attached to how I've gotten this opportunity.

Do you filter out comments on social media? Do you read the YouTube comments and the Instagram comments?

I do, oh God, I do. Everyone tells me not to. But I don't want to be one of those delusional people who think they are doing everything right and everything's going good. Because everyone around me has been so positive, that I wonder, "Is this too good to be true?. Then I go online and read these comments, and then I am like "S**t, I'm really the scum of the earth.

I think of what that person must be going through and thinking, that they might feel better by pulling someone else down. No one would say this to your face, but social media makes us all faceless, and you don't get called out for this.

And I've noticed a pattern, where this kind of comment gets a thousand times more likes than any positive comment would get. It's horrible that people are reacting more to negativity than positivity. And then there are these news portals and websites which pick them as news with "Twitter says and "Instagram says. Twitter and Instagram are also saying these amazing things, but they'll never write about that. Because they know they'll get more views if they talk about something negative. I think it is shitty that they are encouraging this cycle of negativity and frustration in people. There must be so much dirt in your mind... I don't know. Just be chill. Have some ice cream.

social media can be scary but there is also some truth that these so called "trolls" comment on. These actors only call them trolls because they get offended. If it is comments on looks, I dont think that it is acceptable all the time. But people do it out of dislike for a particular actor/actress usually and the easiest way to offend is on physical appearance even though that is wrong. it is bothersome to see these star kids handed everything to them, when as an audience I may want to pay money see someone else in their place who is more deserving. These star kids have the whole industry praising them and rooting for them..while outsiders don't have an ounce of support. I may be biased, but I don't hesitate "trolling" or commenting on the wrong doings of a star kid. they tend to do have a sense of entitlement and go around thinking they are owed something. I have noticed this with alia bhatt in especially in her early days and some of the comments she makes puts me off completely, and that is why I am not a huge fan of hers even though she performs well.

People don't like insiders because they are rich and everything comes easily to them. But honestly, it's hard to hate Jhanvi because no matter how rich a person may be, nothing is worse than losing your mother tragically at such a young age. She has struggled and faced her own battles and gone through her own pains.

Sounds sorted. Looks like she has a good head on her shoulder. Sri would've been proud. :(

Wow, pleasantly surprised to read this. She seems intelligent and sensitive.

That's all that people want, Janhvi. For star kids to just acknowledge that they get a very very easy entry into Bollywood despite the presence of several outsiders who are much more talented and hard working and good looking. After that, if star kids prove their talent, people will happily accept them. So, well done on that answer.

What people dont like is when star kids go on and on about having to audition (Oh please!) and lose weight (badi meherbani!) to get roles. They dont accept their privilege and pretend like they would have got the job even of they were outsiders. They need a reality check.

COMMENTED THIS IN ANOTHER TOPIC - but my two cents

as much as everyone is appreciating her it's very much clear this personality of her is an act. and for people saying she is so down to earth it's cause she has to be, she choose everything from her production house to the movie she wanted and oh didn't have to audition for it either. if she had any bit of arrogance people would have hated her because she did absolutely nothing to get this role hence she has to put up this facade of being grateful !
also she better get used to the judgement - even though online she is gaining a lot of popularity people irl don't find her attractive as she is being made out to be. heck her straight profile is so plastic i wonder when is planning to stop with the fillers * even kylie stopped now

It could be an act. She has got everything that is best, for sure. But, she did say that she isn't going to pass on an opportunity she gets because it is a big deal for her. I think she means that she's not going to take it for granted but she will go for the best option she has. Not unnecessarily audition and go through the struggle route if she doesn't need to. And unless she does or says something that actually proves that this is an act, she will get the benefit of doubt. Let's see what happens, abhi toh first movie hai.
