Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui
recently shot for a TV show, where they
opened up about their personal and
professional lives. Both the actors are
known for their unconventional film choices
and their stellar performances. Both of them
did not get it easy in Bollywood and had to
work hard to achieve the name and fame
that they have earned today.
In the show, Radhika was asked what
would she do if she woke up as the
superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The actress,
without any hesitation, was quick enough
to reply that she would experiment a lot
more with films. She said, "I'll experiment a
lot more with films because I think Shah
Rukh is an amazingly versatile actor and
that's exactly how he started his career. He
experimented across different genres and
that's what I'll do if I ever woke up as him."
Nawazuddin, who comes from Uttar
Pradesh, had started his career in Bollywood
by playing background characters in films
like Sarfarosh and Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. He
recalled his initial days in the industry, and
said that when he used to go back home,
his family and neighbours would question
him as to why does he always get beaten up
in every film.
He further said, "After hearing this from my
family, I thought that now I will only go back
home when I get to be the one beating
someone up in a movie. Then Gangs of
Wasseypur' happened and that's when I
went back home with my head held high."
Radhika will be next seen in the upcoming
Indian web series titled Sacred Games. She
will also be seen in Andhadhun, alongside
Ayushmann Khurrana. The film is a thriller,
where Ayushmann plays a blind pianist.
Nawaz would be next seen in Ranveer
Singh's '83. Ranveer will essay the role of
the legendary Kapil Dev, while Nawaz will
play the coach of the Indian Cricket Team.
The film is based on India's win in the 1983
World Cup.
