i liked the movie but i think alot of facts about zubeida were changed ... but one can never know the inner stories ...

Rekha was awesome ... but i didn't liked Manoj ... because Hanwant Singh ji was a very goodlooking man ...

Karishma was amazing

the songs like Mehandi hai rachne wali are still being played in marriage functions

I really liked the movie. I often love movies based on history that remain unsolved and mysterious and Zubeidaa's story also was the same where the reason of plane crash still remains a mystery. The remains of the plane were also found after years in Jodhpur Jail. The movie did not show that Zubeidaa had the Maharaj's child I guess.

I was really young when it came out, thought it was boring then...one of "those" movies. Watched it after a few years and loved it. The performances are great and so are the songs. Albeli is a great song. Karishma has always been able to portray bubbly extremely well. Rekha classed it up considerably. Manoj looked every bit the part and his mannerisms were on point.

What really stayed with me though was the story. It was so intriguing and so enchanting, Zubeida's journey from being a widow to a second wife, debatably a mistress, so beautiful and still unsatisfied. I felt then for the first time how somebody could have everything- money, looks, respect (of some sort) and they'd still want something more (Victor's undivided attention/ respect he had for Rekha's opinion). And the end was so tragic, I was rooting for Zuby quite a lot actually. So, all in all I loved it. Karishma's best work acc to me.
