Those asking... Yes a 32-33cr is very much possible but a 30-31cr must not be avoided too for such big release ,#Sanju won both on Day one ( and ) and this is the biggest success for #RanbirKapoor @RajkumarHirani @vickykaushal09 @VVCFilms @SirPareshRawal film. Enjoy

Spoilt brat, drug addict, shitty boyfriend, entitled movie star, depressed son- he nails it all with aplomb. And damn you Vicky. What are you made of. He steals the show in almost every scene he appears in.

So yeah, it's a good one time watch if you can get over the blatant glorification. It still shows how skilled Hirani is as a film maker so am really looking forward to his next film with a better subject 😆 And yeah, Ranbir, you have the talent so please choose better films and ditch the showmance 😆

Will the movie run for a longer period or will be rejected? Iam asking since u watched in theater and general public 's reaction ...😆

saw the movie. it was an ok watch. ranbir acted very well, occasionally it looked like he was mimicking sanjay dutt and the appearance wasnt consistent either. still overall a triumph.

vicky got a very good role, he was there throughout, a pretty lengthy role after ranbir and he did extremely well except the preclimax breakdown which looked fake. it was a typical raju hirani scene and vicky couldnt get into it. still overall actriumph.

paresh rawal was flawless. very good.

manisha oirala in cameo did very well.

sonam in a cameo good.anushka was ok

dia good.

its a typical hirani movie with right mix of comedy, sentiments and drama. and obviously its a friends tribute.

With these reviews, I don't see it sustaining very strongly after the weekend but then it does have three open weeks

I have no idea about how much it will make 😆 I personally found it entertaining as a film and it's a good one time watch. Of course you have to ignore the blatant glorification cos it becomes difficult to appreciate the film otherwise. That apart, it has good humour and is emotionally stirring. And yeah it has an absolutely brilliant performances from the cast. My opinion of course. If you are looking for the reaction of those around me, my friends and the three guys sitting in the same row liked it. Have no idea about the rest 😆

@TheDarkRock- Probably 3? An extra 0.5 just for the performances. If you like Hirani's brand of film making and/or like Ranbir and can ignore the whitewashing, you should go for it. I can't speak for others but I personally found it pretty entertaining for most part and I still have zero sympathy for Dutt. The two are mutually exclusive 😆

Sanju Movie Review. It's a Classic!

"Bad choices in life makes a good story". And Sanjay Dutt's life is 'King' of bad choices!

Yes, Sanjay Dutt life is all about bad choices. And yet, his life story is even more interesting and shocking. Rajkumar Hirani is a master story teller and he proves this again with 'Sanju.' Sanju is easily one of the best biopic to come out in India. Ironically story is about 'controversial' life of Sanjay Dutt.

So, whether it is correct to know about the life of Sanjay Dutt? About his drug addiction, alcoholism, being an womanizer and a certain 'Rifle'. Yes, we think so.

It will tell people two things. First, addiction to drugs and alcohols are bad to oneself, family, friends and society as a whole. Even if, a handful gets this message from the movie 'Sanju', it is a worth product made. Second, Sanjay Dutt had a 'Rifle', but he is/was not a 'Terrorist'. He is in fact a fighter not a coward!

Ranbir Kapoor has given a lifetime of a performance in the epic role of Sanjay Dutt. This is his best. Period! We simply forget about Ranbir and feel that Sanjay is playing the role himself. Job is done. Awards awaits!

Vicky Kaushal as Sanjay Dutt best friend 'Kamlesh' is OUTSTANDING! He revels and even outshines Ranbir in few scenes. Bonding between Ranbir and Vicky in big screen is simply magic. They took the friendship of Sanju and Kamli to next level. Sach mein dost ho to Kamli jaisa, warna naa ho!

Paresh Rawal is a genius. He plays the role of Sunil Dutt and simply owns it. In few of the scenes, his interactions with Ranbir Kapoor will bring tears to one's eyes. Such is the impact!

Rest star cast Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza and even Manisha Koirala makes their presence felt in our heart. Each of their respective screen time is short but impactful. Specially one 'Mangalsutra' scene between Sonam and Ranbir which is USP of the first half.

Rajumar Hirani is a 'magician'. Sanju further stamps that. His name brings crowd to the theaters. One would dream to have films like Munnabhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munnabhai, 3 Idiots, PK and now Sanju. There is not a single minus point in the film as far as direction is concerned.

Film screenplay and editing is excellent. Film could have been shorter by 5-10 mins in first half.

Verdict - Sanju is a classic. A must watch for all die hard fans of Sanjay Dut. A must watch for all Ranbir Kapoor fans as this is his best. A must watch for all movie lovers as film teaches us what not to do in life. Film gives a good message to all. It is all about Father-Son relationship. It is also about true friendship and its values.
