If you think Sanjay dutt has nothing to do with the films box office then you are very wrong, people were intrigued because it's his story, this movie couldn't have worked otherwise as it would have looked extremely random. And rajkumar hirani is a brand in himself, his first two munnabhias did excellent business too.

I never snatched credit from anyone else, I am not insecure like ranbir fans, I give credit where it's due, and it's funny when ranbir fans call others flop, ur own idol needs a biopic to stand out, if it wasn't for portraying Sanjay dutt hirani wouldn't even offer him a movie. RK doesnt need to play Munnabhai to prove his acting chops. He has successfully played one of his seniors onscreen so much so that ppl complimented him by saying they didnt know it wasnt sanjay dutt himself.
