It was an ishan show.

And I think the makers also realized it and focused more on ishan than janvi who is totally unimpressive here.

But the charm of original is missing only saving grace being ishan.

I like it. Ishaan is full of energy and it fits with the fast beat of the song. I have seen videos of him dancing and I think he's even better dancer. But I think this was more about that earthy fun energy.

I have a feeling Jhanvi is better dancer than what was shown here. She looked natural and had no awkwardness with whatever little moves she made. But she was mostly just on the balcony watching Ishaan go crazy 😆.

Yes this looks crap compared to original version. And female boney kapoor as heroine doesn't help either.

But as most of bollywood audience haven't seen the original so it won't matter too much. The song will be hit among masses which KJO is trying to target.

Same here about Janhvi because her dance in the Dhadak title track was impressive. This is more of the guy impressing the girl dance number and even in the original it was the guy dancing while Archi giving expressions. But like you said, thankfully she was natural.

Ishaan was good but overdid in some places and the lesser said the better about Jahnvi... original Sairat song had amazing expressions of the female lead and here Jahnvi is so bland . It's sad that Ishaan is by miles the best thing about Dhadak but Jhanvi is walking away with all the media attention thanks to Sridevi.

Ishaan is the best part of the song. I was expecting the disappointment as it's a near impossible task to recreate the magic of the original version. Glad they didn't commercialize it too much.

The song is nice but a complete copy of the Marathi version. Ishaan looks so cute. He was clearly the star in the song. Jahnvi consistently underperforming in every promo. Hopefully she'll get better with movies.
