This is a low turnout, but IMHO it is okay if the Khans are not there. The younger folks should get a chance to bring in the TRPs as well.

We have seen the Khans for so long at these, especially SRK. I think SRK should give us a chance to miss him at these events. He is around in almost every single one during awards season anyways. For IIFA, I think it would have been fine if they had even one top actress present. Kriti and Shraddha are meh. In terms of male actors, they got pretty much everyone young.

IIFA turnout was really low this year with zero buzz. Film industry now only has people from star families or people who have been around for 20-25 years. Nothing new for the audience to really shakeup and take interest. Awards have become like Star Parivaar Awards.

The younger folk will bring in the same amount of TRPs whether the Khans are there or not. Khans would only provide the much needed bonus TRPs.

SRK can attend every year for the next few decades without it being a problem, the same way Big B or Rekha still religiously attend these events.

But yes my gosh alarmingly low buzz this year 😕 turnout is also lowish, they do have most of the younger stars (definitely needed more of a female star presence though) but something is just amiss this year, no kind of hype or excitement at all.
