probably. But I have to do it to give them a taste of their own medicine. I don't believe it's her mothers fault that she turned out so insensitive. But she wrote a whole page how her mother worked hard to teach swimming or other things but did not think about ps. May be because her profession was not acting, but janhvi mother did teach her ps. It's not her fault actually it's because of compitition and people who criticize actresses to do jaw surgery or to fix nose it's big.

Oh boy. People calling someone unhygienic just to prop up their favourite star kid who is yet to debut are giving out morality lectures.
People sl*gging off someone's mum just because she shared a little about her upbringing and thoughts on PS have become the sanctimonious crusaders of the forum.

I shudder at the dweebs
residing in the cowebs

But I never admitted it no,
Cos that's just what i do
I just turn it all around
And poke fun at you

^True and I'm glad things are changing in reality if not on the online space where looks are given a lot of preference and traction.

On topic, hygienic or unhygienic, the fact remains that her being accepted by the audience despite being a 'dark skinned actress' speaks volumes of Rinku's talent and the mark she left on the film as an actress. By now, I've come to realize that a big part of the forum population don't live in India and probably doesn't have any idea about the ground reality of the popularity of the actors and these celebrated regional films. The ones who have actually lived in Maharshtra during the release of Sairat would know the craze that was Rinku Rajguru. She could not even step out of her house to go to school as fans travelled long distances to her house in Solapur and thronged her and when she couldn't come out, they would take selfies with her scooty and leave. She had to quit her school and give external exams because the crowd at her all girls school was proving to be unsafe for the other students.I myself am not a marathi yet I knew everything about who Rinku is and her popularity because that's the only thing that was discussed in my workplace. Be it autorickshaws, bikes or banners across places, it had only one face - the face of 'unhygienic' Rinku. And this is just a gist of the craze that was Sairat. Point to be noted, she was not from an elite family background. She comes from a middle class family of a district of a Tier 2 city like Solapur. Yet the audience, whether single screen or multiplex opened their arms for her and accepted her and made her an overnight superstar and that's only because of what Rinku brought into the film. She made Sairat what it is.
I'm pretty sure the same will happen with Janhvi as well. maybe not to the extent of what happened with Rinku but who knows. She anyways has so many fan groups and people keep taking selfies wherever she goes. So there's definietly an amount of interest that's built around her debut and I don't think any sort of surgery that she has done will come in the way of that.If she acts well or is able to connect with the audience (especially the young crowd), she will be accepted. I really don't think Indian audiences care much about surgeries and stuff. Give them a face they can connect to and it will be fine.
And honestly, this forum has some REALLY high standards of beauty and hence very difficult to please. I doubt whether there will ever be an actor who will match the beauty standards of this forum.😆

(Believe me when I say this(incase there are any upcoming subtle digs here and there), my username or love for Sridevi has nothing to do with me praising Janhvi. I don't see anything in her that reminds me of Sridevi except for her eyes, but for a debut films, I personally feel that she has done a good job with the emotions.)

Not one person, the whole forum is bashing her since yesterday. Her acting is perfect for a new comer, better than any actress be it Kareena, Sonam, Deepika or Katrina! She is more innocent and genuin looking than all of these actress except Kareena in her earlier movies. I don't have problem with sairat girl, but she is getting more regognization and publicity after the Dharak. Many people including me are searching for sairat movie to watch.
But people are bashing janhvi like there is no tomorrow. If she cry it's For publicity if she does not then she does not care about her mom. Her surgeries are not even her own fault, it was probably seridevi influences. How many thread are people like you making and contributing to bash her, but when it comes to sairat girl then it's like a crime. And I don't have time to edit the post to correct the auto correct or other mistakes. So keep pointing them out. I don't really care. I have no problem with dark skin. I am not saying janhvi it fair or anything. She looks genuin and innocent, that's what I like about her.

I think you're getting confused between criticism and bashing. Actors and actresses can't escape it - Their profession warrants criticism, and rightfully so. Jahnvi has, for the most part, been receiving criticism. Since she is purely a product of nepotism I think it's even more deserved. However, select users are not criticizing the Sairat actress, they are mercilessly crushing her with condescending distaste.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about - the Sairat actress doesn't need Dhadak for publicity. Their film did so well on its own, which is the whole reason KJo is even making a remake!!

"People like you? You don't know what kind of person I am. People are talking about Jahnvi because she is Sri's daughter - that is mainly it. All these threads are being made on her because she is officially a part of the industry now and people can rightfully comment on her talent considering the only reason she is in this film is because of nepotism.

I'm not going to go easy on Jahnvi because her mother is Sri and because she is dead!

[DIV]So its not okay to judge an actress who put herself out to be judged and talked about, but its okay to judge a random stranger mother's upbringing?

yes. If she can write a whole page about how her mother brought her up to do this and that, but I don't see any manner of not criticizing others choices then it's open to explore. I have to show her what her mother did not teach as she is unaware.

Oh thank you dear for the kind concern. My mom is the kind of woman who will not hack my body when I am a teen like Sri or Kris Jenner did. Plastic surgery for a teenager is judged harshly in any society even western. No one is praising the Kardarshians for plastic surgery at any age be it Kylie or Kim. It's not a "choice" of being open minded period. There are no two ways about it. It is wrong.

There is a reason minors need permission for plastic surgery from parents too even though it is an elective surgery just like routine surgery needed for medical reasons. No their body, their wish even if they get jobs to pay for a breast implant before the age of consent.

I will not apologize for criticizing a woman like Sri even if she is dead for hacking her child's face or criticizing Jhanvi's face at 21 which looks all messed up. I feel sorry for her. I'd rather be considered close minded than think or say that is ok at that age. If they are older, perhaps. But at 21 and teenager, hell no. No one needs to get hacked at that age in the name of beauty and in most societies that is criticized. I am glad and proud to be raised by a mother who taught me to live healthy and loved me enough not to hack my body or face in the name of beauty.

If anyone needed counseling it was Sri for she was brought up by her mom in a terrible way.

I would kill to see natural dark skin on screen than the gray faces we're subjected to. I mean, Deepika, Bipasha, and Priyanka are just as dark or maybe even darker but they wear so much white foundation and get heavy duty lights put on them to wash them out to make them look light. It does not even look nice. The richness of the skin disappears and we get those crazy looking zombie faces.
