No they usually take audition of newbies with scenes of their earlier productions. Check her birthday video by Dharma, a part of this audition is in there where it's mentioned she is doing Koko's role in WUS. Probably the guy who wrote the article mistook that video. Also check the ending of the video. 😆

I remember Ayan once saying that in a nutshell its the love story of a boy falling for girl elder to him... how wud Alia look elder to Ranbir in her teenage years, when she doesnt look so, even now.
