On bold. That is the problem. If it looses (like in Karnataka), will he be blamed? The trouble that one has with Congress (Gandhis) is that. They enjoy the power, without accountability. It does not happen with Modi. If a murder happens in some state, (even if it is not ruled by BJP), Modi would be blamed.

For the next election Congress has to choose a leader before campaign. If it wins, let him take the credit. If it looses, let him step down. When are they going to say, "enough is enough"?

Funny thing is, people say Modi is all about development when he is more left an left in terms of his economic policies and let's not even get into the other mess.

As an outsider I think Congress has become PPP in India lol

Basically PPP (Bhutto) is the best party in Pakistan with moderate views, love for all, concern for minorities is there as well, proper...against extremism...So all the box are checked

However problem is that they are labelled as corrupt...they have this figure zardari who everyone dislikes...so people had no choice to elect a less evil nawaz...who had extremist views and only now become liberal after his corruption was exposed

Hippo thinks that looking at the elections all over the world where pseudo nationalists are on the rise...I think Imran Khan will be the next Prime Minister of Pakistan. This is the theme..

Good thing though is that we never get real far right people ...for example Jamaat Islami never gets..more than few percent

Overall it is sad that good moderate parties like congress and PPP are being hated int heir countries despite on paper looking better than others.

None of this concerns me really 😆 I'm not the one living in a country in a state of moral panic, believing that it's few steps away from turning into Pakistan or Nazi Germany, and the best way of combating that, would be utilising my time on a forum whining about it. 😆
