Lights Fade For Batti Gul
Buzz in the trade has it that the makers of Batti Gul Meter Chalu are having a difficult time starting the second schedule of the film. The first shooting schedule wrapped in Uttarakhand and the next one was to start last month. It has still not begun. And it seems director Shree Narayan Singh will have difficulty shooting for this film in future too.
Lead actress Shraddha Kapoor is in Abu Dhabi for a 50-day schedule for her upcoming film Saaho. After she returns, the dates of leading actor Shahid Kapoor have been committed for his next film, which is the Arjun Reddy remake. With the actors' busy schedules and loads of bad luck, we wonder how production house KriArj Entertainment is going to stick to their announced release date, which is August 31.
Guess Who?
The woes of this beleaguered production house keep piling up. And, frankly, it is hard to sympathise with them, given that these are largely self-inflicted wounds brought about by spreading themselves too thin and over-smartness in financial management.
The latest project to come to a grinding halt is this film which is virtually complete, barring a couple of songs and scenes. However, since their remuneration instalments are long overdue, the lead pair has refused to give dates for the pending shoots till their payment is brought up to speed.
Which is quite right, we say. As the song goes: paisa pheko, tamasha dekho!
