Perhaps we have to blame Farhan Akhtar for this one! Ever since the Dil Chahta Hai and Don director had some successful outings as an actor in films like Rock On, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, we have seen quite a few off-screen talents suddenly wanting to jump in front of the camera instead of running the show behind it.

The fact that most of these career-changing gambles didn't pay off in some cases, they didn't even see the light of day hasn't stopped others from harbouring dreams of imminent stardom. The latest to jump on this bandwagon is this professional who has been quite successful in his specialised field but, not content with that, is soon going to announce his acting debut.

In order to prepare for this, he has gone in for a drastic weight reduction programme, which will be followed by a tummy tuck procedure. Next up is a face and hair job. And work on voice and diction is ongoing as we speak.

Which begs the question: If everything about this gentleman needs to be re-engineered, what was so star-like about him originally that prompted this debut decision?!
