Seems the role is not as big as Alia's- that is what I understood from other's reviewing the movie... But everyone says he is a great actor.

He also won Best Debut at Filmfare, if I remember well.

But, I don't think there's any need to put down Varun to praise Alia.. both are good, both have proved their BO pull as well as acting prowess.. the only star kids who are really working hard and proving themselves 👍🏼

But yes, Raazi opening better than October proves that Alia has the same BO pull if not more than VD.. and it's time Alia is given her due credit. BKD and HSKD worked coz of both of them. Let's not undermine one for the other. 😃

Patriotic theme or whatever, Rs.9 crores is a huge opening for a solo female star movie.

Comparison with Varun is kinda valid, although Varun has already proven his metal with Badlapur.

But this opening does prove one thing, Alia is bigger star than Anushka Sharma and on par with Deepika.
