So Christians dont need to be converted, but Hindus do

Never heard about this. I think what is meant is that a non-muslim woman don't need to convert but a non-muslim man has to convert to marry a muslim woman.

Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are the Abrahamic religions
So no need to convert

P.S I respect all religions

You are thinking about this

When Gauri's Relatives Were Worried About SRK's Religion

SRK had revealed a funny incident from his reception and had told, "I remember, when their whole family, old fashioned people, I respect them all and respect their beliefs but at that time, in that old-fashioned reception, all of them were sitting there when I came in at 1:15, whispering "Hmmm.. He's a Muslim boy. Hmm.. Will he change the girl's name? Will she (Gauri) become a Muslim?"

SRK Pulled Their(Gauri's Relatives) Legs & It Was Damn Funny

SRK added, "They were all talking in Punjabi. So, I looked at the time and said, "OK Gauri, put on your burkha' and let's read the namaaz now. The whole family stared at us wondering if I had already changed her religion already. So I told them, "From now on she will wear a burkha all the time, she won't ever leave the house and her name will be changed to Ayesha and she will be like this." Wittiness runs in his blood, guys!L

Love> Religion

He concluded by saying, "I had a lot of fun, but the lesson in all of this was that one should respect religion but it should not come in the way of love. But, it was a great wedding and it's still going on strong

sonam cant do hindu wedding bcs we cant do marriage for one year if someone die in family, thats why they did marriage from her maasi house bcs maasi house consider different house ,different lineage, its not consider shubh if you do this from your house if a person die in your family so they choose safe option n did Sikh marriage.

Gauri's other name is ayesha

MUMBAI: (Web Desk) Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan have married thrice. The two had fallen in love with each other at a very young age.

Shahrukh married Gauri the first time in a court so that their families wouldn't be able to create any problem in case they disapproved of the match.

The second time, Shahrukh married Gauri in Islamic manner as Gauri embraced Islam. Gauri's Islamic name was Ayesha.

Later, Shahrukh and Ayesha married each other on October 25, 1991 under Hindu tradition. This marriage was attended by the close relatives of both the families.

Although the couple has married thrice, they always celebrate their marriage on October 25.

Gauri is not converted ...she belongs to a Brahmin family , If she had to convert no way her parents had allowed her to marry SRK

All types of weddings r beautiful but there is something more spiritual in hindu weddings

the havan, the chanting of the vedic hymns , the invoking of the trinity to come and bless the couple
all these look filmy onscreen but they have lot of significance.
vedic mantras are no joke. If recited properly and conducted correctly by the priest they yield good results in the life of the couple.Hindu marriage is more of a puja actually where havan is done ,seeking blessings of almighty to bless the couple, agni is the witness that s why agni sakshi and then the pheras and then kanya daan. The vedic mantras play a powerful role.
There are families who follow it with great sanctity.
Priests ,devotees, poor children, people are feeded while guests are attended and feeded at reception.
amabanis, birlas are rich modern but when it comes to follow these vedic traditions they do it with lot of sancitity.Thst why with hardwork they have blessings of godess lakshmi

Anil's should have done the traditional vedic wedding of kanyadaan , feeding the poor, priests, He would have go the merit of the good deed.
anyways nice celebrations for them.

in case of neha dhupia it was fine, both are sikhs.

@Bold- Everyone love their own culture weddings , I am Sikh and I find the Path and Kirtan during 4 Laavan so serene and beautiful... so plz no comparison which is more beautiful, better and which is not

And About Kanyadaan...it happens in Sikh weddings to ...its father who hands over the Pallu to the groom and does kanyadaan

Gauri definitely didn't convert. There's a huge Hindu temple inside Mannat and they have Hindu gods in all their cars too. You can see it in paparazzi photos.

Very unlikely that they had a nikah because in those days, SRK used to call himself an atheist anyway. There are early interviews online where he mentions it very clearly.

Isn't Anand or his family Sikh or something? I think that's why they had a Sikh sort of ceremony which was held in the day as all Sikh weddings are.

SRK most definitely had a Hindu wedding ceremony, I remember G's mother saying that he readily agreed to & walked upto her & told her "your daughter will be treated like a queen." <3 Religion doesn't seem to be hugely important to SRK, he seems far more spiritual than anything else. So I am sure it didn't matter to him. And the very idea of Gauri being made to convert is MOST laughable!!! Lmaooo. Woman has an extremely strong mind! And SRK would never. They celebrate all holidays like Holi, Diwali, Eid & have both Quran & Bhagwat Gita in their prayer area. It's in all documentaries, books etc & both have mentioned several times how important secularism is to them. SRK is one man who would never ever do anything do the sort.
