Anand Ahuja is probably Sindhi. It seems both Sonam and Anand chose a Sikh wedding may be because of there are similarities in Sindhi and Punjabi weddings.
On SRK-Gauri, couples from different religions can also marry under the Special Marriage Act. It needs a simple registration.

Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are the Abrahamic religions
So no need to convert

P.S I respect all religions

No body is disrespecting anything, we are just exchanging information.

I know Islam, Christianity, and Judaism all count as Abrahamism but still, interfaith marriages are not allowed according to Islam - I can only speak on behalf of Islam.
What I have been taught is that a Muslim man can marry a non-muslim woman without the need of her to convert to Islam (even though many doesn't follow that and convert to Islam but I think the above mentioned is the true sayings of Islam). But that is not the case for women - women can only marry Muslims, so a non-muslim man has to convert to Islam before the marriage can be accepted.
I honestly think it has everything to do with the fact that a man is superior to a woman and after marriage, a woman has to submit to her husband's values. So for that the Muslim woman doesn't lose her religious belief to a non-Muslim man, he has to convert. For a non-muslim woman, she is supposedly subjected to her Muslim husband anyway.

Actually he can marry a woman without having to convert only if she practices a monotheistic religion.

All religious weddings are sexist. There I said it in public lol! Some people still like them & that's fine. But fact remains.

I like registry/court wedding followed by whatever non-sexist traditional thing is fun for the couple/family.

Marriage itself is sexist.
Why do women always have to leave their parents and go to her husband's home after marriage? 😕
I think this happens even after court marriage 😕

Isn't it amazing how Anil is not so religious but Sonam & Sunita are? Even in my family my dad is not religious but my mom is. Yet in all religion the woman is inferior to a man. Amazing.

(By religious I mean following rituals. You can believe in God & pray but not be ritualistic)

All religions are misogynistic. It's up to people themselves to take the parts they like and discard the parts they don't like. That's when it works best. I think it's okay for the girl to leave her parents to make her own life and home but the guy should also do the same.
