And since it is understandable why you open this thread, Ranveer's stories are quite lame. They don't evoke sympathy or admiration. Feels quite banal. While obviously his interviews are quite overblown by few people of the forum, but what he is trying to do with this paise wala garib story is fake and embarassing.

This actually reminds me of Donal Noye's lecture to Jon Snow in Fire and Ice. When he is depressed about having the worst life ever and Donal tells him how there are people who are so much more worse than him and he eventually feels guilty and ashamed (even though Jon had a right to feel terrible about his situation). Perception is one thing and sensitivity is quite another. In a country where more than 1 billion people are below poverty line, it is quite elitist to crib about foreign vacations and Rolls Royce and high end luxury brands. There are people who can't even be certain if they can get one square meal per day. It's not just these actors. I think so many of us crib and complain about so many useless things and act like we had the toughest life ever when there are people who go through actual struggles every single day. I guess it's easier said than done 😆

Hello there is something called being sensitive or empathic. A person from an elite background may not have seen or have related to the struggles of the poor people but equating your so called struggles with their hardships in life is very demeaning and insensitive to say the least. I don't think something like this should be defended if u can't make the world a better place for the underprivileged people at least don't make light of their struggles. It also makes that person sound very ungrateful.Privilege is not a choice that youre born with it's a blessing be grateful for your blessing don't be insensitive to people who werent as lucky as you and didn't get that head start in life because time never remains the same.
