I don't know how he said it. Was it meant as an insult? A jab?

They spent a lot of time together and also debuted together so he should have known what could hurt.

And Sonam didn't say much, only that he wasn't sexy too and a momma's boy.

I think it became serious when his father poke his nose in it.

I feel like for the longest time they did share an ambiguous relationship. Like seeing them during Sawariya promos, it felt more than just friendship...
But then Ranbir started dating Deepika and their relationship deteriorated.
I also think that they grew apart from each other and are very different people today : their friendship would have fizzled anyway.
Now they are just cordial and it's perfectly fine.

I was still a kid in school back then. But, Sawariya promotions had made me feel like they would end up together. I remember them being all touchy, constant hugs, and hand holding. Plus, their interviews had them showering praises on each other and it even seemed genuine. Whatever all that was, they seemed very close.
