You cannot have a solo release on a Friday unless you are a 'Bhai'

Friday's are most awaited for movie-lovers, directors, actors, critics and especially the producers. Two movies clashing at the box office on a single Friday is a common phenomenon which has its own effect.

2018 started on a high note when we talk about Box office clash, Padmaavat vs Pad Man being the most highlighted ones. Now, Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Omerta' will be clashing with Amitabh Bachchan - Rishi Kapoor starrer '102 Not Out' on this Friday.

In our recent interaction with Rajkummar, when asked if this clash will affect the collection of his film? To which he expressed, "It's very tough actually because we have only 52 Fridays in a year and we make around 200 films. Every week we cannot have a solo release unless and until you're a 'Bhai' or a bigger superstar. It will happen; you're bound to clash with someone or the other. In Omerta's case, it's a completely different genre and there are different films coming along with it. We are confident with our film because it's traveled numerous film festivals and the kind of feedback it's got is amazing. Als,o we've made the film on quite a tight budget".

Talking about Omerta, Rajkummar will be seen portraying the role of Pakistani terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh which is a dark and a grey character. Here's a still of him from this film:

Rao also revealed that how playing this character hurt him as a person during the filming.

He expressed, "This character created a lot of mess in my mind. I can be troublesome sometimes because you're dealing with a lot of terrible thoughts. It can be tough sometimes but once you're out of it, consciously you'll have to leave it behind. You have to move to the next film".

Directed by Hansal Mehta, Omera is scheduled to release on 4th May 2018.
