Shahid Kapoor with wife Mira Rajput and
daughter Misha Kapoor has returned to
Mumbai from Batti Gul Meter Chalu's shoot in
Dehradun. The actor has returned because
he is down with viral and has been shooting
continuously for the film for almost a month
now.
A source close to the unit told us, "Shahid is
down with viral and will take a while to
recover so the producers and director of the
film have decided to cancel rest of the shoot
in Dehradun. Shahid, Shraddha Kapoor and
Divyendu Sharma have been shooting non-
stop for the film for nearly a month. The
decision to cancel rest of the shoot was
taken by the producer and director. " The

on but Shahid was diagonsed
with viral so the unit decided to pack up
early from the location. Shraddha has
finished the Dehradun and the rest will be
shot in Mumbai."
Earlier, the reports came that Shahid is
trying to complete the shoot at a lightning
speed. Talking about it, a source stated to
the daily, "Despite it being set in small town,
the team is packing up early every day
because Shahid comes and gives clean
shots."
The source further said, "The speed at
which Shree and Shahid are working, the
film is expected to be wrapped up by March-
end or first week of April, at the maximum."
Also starring Yami Gautam in a pivotal role,
Batti Gul Meter Chalu is set to hit the screens
on August 31, 2018. Shahid plays the role of
a lawyer in the film.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Pinkvilla,
Batti Gul Meter Chalu's director Shree
Narayan Singh spoke about Shahid and said,
"Shahid is fantastic. He liked the idea and
when he met me and he agreed for the
movie within five minutes. Our equation is
really good. Shahid is playing a lawyer in the
film."
