Just like Alia debuted with a crappy but hit movie SOTY.. but later followed with many meaty roles like Highway, 2 States, Udta Punjab.. A hit movie as a debut always helps. It shows an actor is bankable.. & hence gets more offers.

I disagree with you. I strongly believe that a Kedarnath would have been a better film to prove acting talent, than a Rohit Shetty film, where the hero is glorified and the actress is simply there as his love interest.

But you have a right to your opinion, I respect it. :)

I think kedarnath and Simmba can be a chance for Sara to show her range, one is a more serious drama based film and the other a masala comedy, so I think it's gud for her to hav a mix of films, most top actors do a range of genres

Debuting with a Simbaa leaves a fair chance of going the Sonakshi way. All offers she ever got was to play the love interests of cops, rowdy rathores and dabanggs, barring a few films. There is hardly any scope for acting in such films, that is what I feel.

It doesn't nessecerily mean she will go the Sonakshi Sinha way, look at deepika, she did smaller roles in movies like housefull and desi Boyz, and now she is the number one Indian actress, and becuase it's kjo maybe Sara will hav a more significant role in the film, he looks after his starkids, as long as Sara has a gud mix of genres she will be fine, kedarnath will balance it out

Yes, that might be possible. In that case, good for her. But it's sad and unfair that so many of these directors of today make hero-centric movies where the girl is simply relegated to be a love interest, and these are movies that do well at the box office, while most women-centric films get stuck at a Below average or a semi-hit, if at all.

Also, though Deepika isn't related to this topic at all, but since you brought up the reference- that Deepika is a huge star cannot be debated. But whether she is the number one actress in terms of acting- I strongly doubt it. The woman simply reads out her dialogues verbatim with no expressions and no voice modulation. So I wouldn't call her the number one actress, at all. Number one Star, absolutely. But acting, she really has to learn. But thats me, and my opinion solely.

Meh the next gen's debuts are so yawnworthy don't even feel like waiting for them, feels like we have seen them 100 times already no anticipation at all...I remember watching main agar kahoon song on TV and seeing Deepika for the first time, I just couldn't wait to go watch movie and see her, even with Ranbir his jabse tere Naina was like rage that time and everyone wanted to see him. Anushka in Rab ne also had the same mystique...now every kid debuting feels like the same one we have seen everywhere else..no mystique or whatever
