It is always heartening to see good films fetch appreciation and equally big box office returns. We are talking about Ajay Devgns Raid, which is cruising towards making a successful haul at the box office. A film which is devoid of any commercial trappings, has managed to draw the audience to the theatres this weekend. Thus the film has managed to become the second highest opening weekend grosser of 2018 after beating Akshay Kumar's Pad Man. The film has earned Rs 41.01 crore in just three days, as opposed to Akshay Kumars Pad Man, that had minted Rs 40.05 crore. The film might just become the next big hit of 2018! We had already told you how the audience applauded the film. They were so enamoured by acting giants like Ajay Devgn and Saurabh Shukla in the film that they refused to compare them. The film's performance is proof enough that when it comes to films, the audience is only looking for content. They don't have any interest in soulless films. There has to be some substance for them to accept it. Our movie-going audience has matured and how! Applauding a film, which was devoid of any regular shenanigans, proves this fair and square. Check out the numbers right here...
Now the wait is to see how the film fares on a Monday. That will set the tune for how much it will earn at the end of its first week.
