While crowning Deepika the Entertainer of the Year' at the recently concluded Hello! Hall of Fame Awards on Sunday, Rekha noted wistfully that till last month, she was to present the Timeless Icon of the Year' trophy to Sridevi, who passed away on February 24. Ranveer Singh then bestowed on the diva the title of Cinematic Icon' and Rekha gushed, "It's momentous to receive this from one of the greatest actors of our country to whom I presented his first Filmfare Award (Best Male Debut Band Baaja Baraat).
Ranveer (who won Entertainer of the Year, Male) and Rekha dedicated their awards to Sridevi. He also performed a rap sequence from Zoya Akhtar's under-production musical Gully Boy which he said was half complete.
The actor, who arrived and left with his real-life ladylove Deepika, greeted Shah Rukh Khan, who came with wife Gauri, a jadoo ki jhappi, and a peck on his cheek.
Also present were Rajkummar Rao (who snagged the Popular Choice Award), Shweta Bachchan, Mira Rajput and Iulia Vantur, along with the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety jodi Nushrat Bharucha and Kartik Aryan who reiterated that they're "not in a relationship and Sidharth Malhotra with Kriti Sanon. Buzz is, the duo is set to feature in Mohit Suri's upcoming romance-drama.
