If audience is less superficial down south and accepting of avg looking guy as hero , than why are most girls are 8/10 and not avg looking.

its the same with bollywood. Most of the male actors are average looking while we like our female actors all dolled up pretty much all the time. We ourselves are guilty of doing the same.

I find South Indian men attractive, BW version of North men 😵. BW is a place where fat and fair white blob Rishi was allowed to act next to teen debutant Divya Bharati. Poor Sri had to act with 40 years people older than her in South in Telugu and 20 plus years in Hindi and Tamil

Audience taste is mostly universal. Geographical or linguistic barriers don't matter IMO. Emotional attachment with actors takes precedence over their looks mostly.

JM: Rishi Kapoor is ugly. Most men in the Kapoor family are. It's got nothing to do with someone's skin colour, but their features. Balakrishna & other actors I've seen, and everything I've heard.. Yep. Definitely ugly. Their stories we hear such as these, even uglier, not going to lie or deny or hide that fact. The CC seems even more prevalent in the SI industries than in BW which is exceptionally murky anyway!!!
