On topic, I like watching him on-screen, he's a bad actor, but still I like watching him..

Not really... There are some movies he has acted decently like there nam. But they are so few that you can count them on finger tips. He is very egoistic and doesn't like to give so many retakes. I watched bagban and was laughing with the way he has portrayed the role of son because it wasn't convincing at all.

I cringe really hard when he tries to do emotions and comedy on screen.

Of course, he can act. It's his profession, no?

The question should be is he a consistent actor? No, he's not.

Is he a good actor? He's hit and miss.

Think about Dabbang. Think about Chulbul Pandey. Do you think a poor actor could pull that off?

Salman's problem is that he is a very inconsistent actor. He was very good in ETT. But was so so in TZH. He was terrific in Sultan, terrible in Tubelight. He was lively and in tune in PRDP, awful in Jai Ho.

Salman has delivered some fine performances over the years. But for every Tere Naam, there is a Jai Ho. For every Hello Brother, there is a Khamoshi too.

Salman used to be a phenomenal actor. He was sooo good in HSSH! Probably one of my most favorite films of his. Even in Karan Arjun I loved him. But now that powerful acting he showcased in the 90s has faded. I guess the blame partially goes to the stupid scripts nowadays, but his acting has detoriated drastically. He is no longer that same "Prem that everyone used to gush over. So much has changed and he's lost that special charm he once used to have. I miss the older Salman that used to give us so many wonderful performances.

Yes.. he is actually better than HR...

But he is a superstar.. superstars r not necessarily great at the art but they bring ppl in..
