Was she?

I have seen reports? They say she rejected cause she had done similar roles, but I do not remember her doing so.

Which role?

Why did she decline?

I cannot imagine her in that role though. Just find it hard to believe Yash Chopra would offer her this role at that stage of her career. She was too rold by then for this role and married too, which affected at that time. Apparently, she was also pregnant around this time.

No. She wasn't.

Yashji signed her after Lamhe. He offered her Aaina and Darr, which she both declined. She said she would have done Darr if offered the negative role of SRK. Of course, then the character would terrorize Sunny.

DTPH was meant for Madhuri and Juhi (originally).

Don't know which one you're referrng to... but yes, DTPH one is imaginary! I have followed her career very closely... even those years.

DTPH os definitely not for her...both pooja n nisha characters doesn't suit her

Darr,SRK role she can definitely do it...the female version...she will nail if yashji wrote the script keeping the obsessed female negative character in mind...its nice to know too that she wanted to do a negative role...this shows that a good character is what she wants...

DTPH was called Ajanta and then was called something like "Maine tu Pyaar Kar Liya". It WAS in fact offered first to Sridevi who showed no interest in reprising in a role which was similar to her previous roles. Hence after she refused Madhuri stepped in.

And now you know. 😉

On behalf of Our Resident_Evilji, I would like to apologize to you. He didn't mean to provide FALSE info by crossing what late Padmashri Sridevi's stan said, little does he know he is mixing tales.

DTPH was originally called Tevar, which came into discussion late 1994. Yashji wanted to cast SRK, JUHI and Madz after her stupendous success of HAHK. The film didn't materialize until much later with change of plot line. It was actually called Maine To Mohabbat Kar Li until 1996. during this time, Juhi dropped, Urmila was signed, then she backed off and swapped roles with Lolo (Judaai). Yashji was pissed with Urmila for awhile. Finally the film went on floors later in 1996 under DTPH title.

Ajanta was completely a different concept that never materialized.😭

And rest as they say is history. 😉

I STILL say i am right. Reference to Juhi's KWK interview where she confirmed it was called Ajanta. Yash Chopra wanted both Juhi and Sridevi (his two fav actresses at that time) in the movie.
