Last month it was reported that Saif Ali Khan and R Madhavan will be reuniting after 17 years for a historical being directed by Navdeep Singh and produced by Aanand L Rai. The duo first appeared together in 2001 romantic film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein co-starring Dia Mirza.
Talking about the historical, the movie will have Mukkabaaz's leading lady Zoya Hussain as the female lead. Now, as per reports in a leading tabloid, Sonakshi Sinha is set to have a special cameo in the film. Talking about it, a source stated to the tabloid, "Sonakshi will be playing an interesting cameo in the yet untitled film. She is the surprise element which is why the makers are keeping her part and look tightly under wraps for now."
Saif is already in Rajasthan shooting for the film which went on floors last week. The source further said, "It is being shot near Desuri village presently and will move to other parts of the state. Deepak Dobriyal will also be joining the cast in an important role. This will be followed by long schedules in Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh in the coming months."
Saif and Maddy will be seen indulging in sword-fighting and horse-riding in the film and have been prepping for the same.
Earlier talking about it, a source said to the tabloid, "Since it's a period film, Saif and Madhavan will be training in sword-fighting and horse-riding. They will require a lot of prosthetics and the team has been working on their look for a long time. Last week, there was a final look test in Mumbai and the film is ready to roll now."
