people change with time and they can learn from mistakes. and Sonam's perception of beauty also changed over time.

That actually takes guts for a celeb to come upfront and say this with their natural pic. 👏

Yeah! Majority of the celebs walk around with tons of layers of make up on (including her). I don't know how to put this in better words lol. But What Sonam is trying to convey is that; the way we see celebs is not how they look in reality. It's not all natural, they have to undergo several procedures. Some teens do go under depression, when they are not happy with their appearance. Many reasons could be, when they see celebs with flawless skin and they end up comparing their appearance with the celebs. :/

Love this post! She's absolutely true. Beauty standards in any industry are extremely unrealistic. I just wish we all understood this.. But it is immensely difficult not to see these beautifully dressed, flawless women & want to look like they do.

This is a lovely and thoughtful post from Sonam.

I think it speaks volumes when someone deemed a photogenic fashion icon talks about body positivity. It is one thing to hear ordinary people or nonglamorous stars to say it. But when someone like Sonam shows that looks are heavily constructed, it drives the message.

Sonam is often up and about without makeup on. I'm sure if you dig, you will find threads making Sonam for being ugly or a plain Jane without makeup.
