I think it is definitely because of religion. HOWEVER it is not surprising. You see such discrimination everywhere...here in US also. And it is NOT ALWAYS about religion. It can be based on nationality, ethnicity, language anything.

So while the wise hippo agrees that a minority talking about such issues generates more reaction and majority doing it is treated as apna hi hai,.,,tera hai par mera hai, I still do not want to blame these people more than any other and I believe it is NOT SURPRISING.

Its kindda like if white person calls a black person N ..hell break lose..while black call each other N all the time..its all about sensitivity.

These things do not happen among secure individuals..they are above such mindset ...kindda like Hippo himself. lol

But he was attacked ny a section of country not the whole of it.. in fact, the rest of the country including the media were supporting him.. So his statement sgould have been directed to those who were responsible, not for the whole of country as far as i see it..

Ad for Khans, i dont know about Amir since he bores me but Shah was asked on his bday about what he has to say on the growing intolerance in SM.. he replied that intolerance was everywhere not just in India but the youth would not stand for it

So, that confirms it then .. SRK was just preaching which raises questions over his intentions behind such statements whereas SLB was put through real hell which IMO quilifies him to complain about the rampant intolerance ..

Well no one cares enough for Bhansali as he is no desirable celeb to watch out for. He can live in the cocoon of his prejudiced views. Has he lived every where in the world to pass such an irresponsible statement? How much does he know about India that he can be expected to know what happens in other countries. He is being stupid here. Also Bhansali milked the Karni sena thing to the max and got people to watch his movie. He scripted the whole controversy and then pretending to be a victim😡😡

I am not aware of SRK and intolerance statement but I do remember Aamir wanting to leave the country😆😆 but is still here!! Guess they cater to the Leftist JNU mentality which is to Blabber anything to suit their selfish agenda.

Moreover I find it extremely unknowledgeable of those who rant this latest fad of intolerance word🤢 Do they have an iota of understanding as to what they are blabbering? Have they ever studied facts or simply start off like a motor. How do they know whether tolerance level has reduced or not, it might have increased actually as public is tolerating their nonsense without any repercussion to them. If more people are voicing their opinion, does that not mean their is room for it. More and more discussions are taking place on so many topics. Does the thought never occur in their heads that perhaps earlier there was hardly any medium to express the like or dislike or resentment and hence it seemed like everyone was tolerating and actually people were privately simmering inside and waited for opportune time to express, eg during elections or morchas and news hardly spread across the country. Now its super fast to do that. Those who chant this intolerance mantra better get exposure to what intolerance actually is and live in such a place. They are so insulting their own country.

Lastly why is the GOI brought into BW or hindi movie related issues? No Govt in the world has the time to spare for such things. There are far more serious and pressing issues at hand. Not every idiots act is to be put on the PM or Pres of a country. Spare the idiocy please.

Well, I agree that his movie released , made big bucks , so justice prevailed over intolerance .. +1 for India .. But I would have preferred if he wasn't tortured to this extent in the first place ..

Generalising is anyways taking things to the extreme .. may be SLB shouldn't have given out such statements ... But the topic is about SLB vs. SRK and why they were treated differently , guess we can put that matter to rest now .. 😆
