He is underrated but the problem is that he got type casted.. When given the opportunity he did rock it with his performance, but he was never able to get above the serial kisser tag.. Also he is reclusive and does not seem to be the type who would try vehemently for a part or role in his career, which as I see it does not get you anywhere.. And I don't think any actor has managed to make a succesfull transition from being a sex and erotic movie hero to a superstar.. movie goers tend to have a hard time accepting that and just form an opinion k ye banda hai tou movie erotic hi hogi

When did he even have stardom? Most of his movies flopped..🤔

Emraan Hasmi's image itself dragged him down. The same sexy image made him popular but that same pulled him down too. For some time it was good and different that he would kiss and do sex scenes but after a while that novelty factor was off and it became boring and routine. Emraan should have sensed that made attempt to move out but he didnt. For any actor to be sustain over a period of time has to appeal to mass audience and not just adults or sex starved audience.

Because he doesn't have the x star factor. His USP was kissing and then everyone in BW started kissing so that took away his main audience pull. People say he's a good actor but there are lots of good actors around. Truth is he never had that kind of attraction for the masses and therefore no one misses him.

I was surprised in the first place that he got any stardom at all. I used to always think that actors who go after easy popularity because of sex scenes and kissing can never make it big. But Emraan was well-liked and had a fan following of sorts and I used to never understand why. That is until I saw some of his movies. His appeal is not just that he kisses onscreen or does bold scenes but his style and charm. He is an okay actor too. But that could only take him so far. I don't think he's become irrelevant. He's just going through a slow phase. He can pick up and do more movies cuz he might not be the so called superstar but he has made his own place in BW.

Nowadays I feel like movies which have Emraan still have some class as opposed to KSG or wannabe telly actors. I think that's great.
