Ranveer Singh: Not sure if I'll play dark character again; don't think

Ranveer Singh impressed everyone with his
terrific performance as Alauddin Khilji in
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat. The film
also stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid
Kapoor in lead roles.
For playing Alauddin Khilji, Ranveer has gone
through a lot and was mentally affected
because of the darkness and negativity of
Khilji.
When a leading portal asked him if he will
again play a historical or dark character in
future, the actor said, "Historical? Yes! Dark?
I am not sure. Only because, it was really
hard, man. I don't think it is healthy to play
that part anymore."
Ranveer also revealed how for a moment
this dark character took over the actual him.
He narrated an incident from the sets. "I
really thought I was going crazy. I felt like I
was losing my marbles. A really strange
incident happened off camera, on the set.
Somebody made a mistake and I turned
towards that person and I was gonna
attack, physically assault that person as
Alauddin Khilji. I was like, Wait, wait, wait, a
second. This is not f***ing real. This sh** is
going deep down.' Because suddenly my
instinctive reaction was that of the
character's and not mine."
Singh further added, "The thing was I had
isolated myself during the shooting process
as well. I was going to the set in the
morning, playing Alauddin all day and then
sleeping whenever I slept. And going and
being Alauddin again. Doing that for enough
days on end, too much of it for too long, I
was suddenly generating ill-feelings,
harbouring negative and evil thoughts."

Stop wasting ur career in clownish antics and doing movies with below average people like SLB. Give some big 300 crore + quality movie like bajrangi or dangal or pk.

u have the potential no doubt about it. ranbir is another one in exact same situation. shahid is a goner..his time is past now.

Huh Hippo even without watching movie you are judging Ranveer and said quite a lot. He gave brilliant performance and don't even compare with any of the khans.. the young generation like Ranveer , ranbir and varun are much better actors than these khans.

It was obvio from d movie itself that he lived khilji n he is getting all d love from public for it<3
