And then I went ahead and tried to see if I can get any for this Friday, next monday, tuesday or even wednesday but EVERY show that I wanted to book is SOLD OUT...Late night shows on Monday and Wednesday are available but that is not convenient for us...

This is mindbogglingly awesome! 😲

Are you in the US? That is what happened to me also! I haven't been able to see the movie yet!

My expectations from him were sky high but I have to say I was a little disappointed...perhaps its got to do with the character that he was playing ...unconvjncing...very OTT

besides never believed in khilji's lust for padmavati especially when everyone knew he was gay to begin with...and bhansali portrayed him as lover boy yearning for someone he hasn't even seen..I am not being able to digest bhansali's version of khilji who was a cruel invader historically speaking. His job was to loot, plunder invade kingdoms and that's what he did in chittor...nothing to do with love or lust for padmavati.

I wish bhansali had stayed true to history instead of romanticising the invasions of barbarians in such appalling manners...🥱

Having said that I loved each n every frame of the movie. It's a visual treat has to be experienced on big screen. Those who are boycotting due to whatever reasons are missing out something which is very rare to come by.

I will be going third time this weekend⭐️

@red : But he wasnt a gay, he was bi... In fact i even read that he captured and raped his wife, who was then, the wife of some general and later she became his favorite and stayed with him as a wife.

Yes! I watched it on the second day and it was pretty easy to get the tickets then...I watched an early show and the theater was only half full...But now the same show is sold out straight until next Wednesday!

Spoiler alert. I know why women took their own life because they didn't want to be owned by those men and live slavery life. But I would've loved the movie if the women had the courage to fight those men and win the battle. I hate how women are shown weak. When they started throwing stones, I thought they were going to fight but I'm disappointed

@ Bold...Sure they could've shown that...But it just would've to be named something else and not Padmaavat!

To be fair the women could've tried to fight with Alauddin's army but the only realistic outcome of such a disastrous and doomed attempt would've been sure death and then rape of their dead bodies.
Or worse , get captured alive and then be gang raped.
There's absolutely no way they could've stood against them for more than 5 minutes no matter how hard and how bravely they fight.
This is the fact.
There's a reason why Jauhar was prevalent. If there was any chance of defeating the enemy trust me , they'd have done just that.

When their men couldn't do any thing but get slaughtered by the army of Khilji like heaving crop with scythe , when they're trained soldiers, how could we expect women to take part in the fight against Khilji army and win ??
Because unlike men , women couldn't risk being captured or even dying in front of the enemy.
With the male soldiers, the worst possible thing Khilji army will so with them is to kill them brutally but in case of women their target would be to capture them alive so that their body can be used. And this is a fate far worse than death for a woman of that age.
It is easy preaching them about alternative life choices sitting in today's time when many windows have opened up for woman and many are yet opening but we need to ask ourselves were those choices even available let alone acceptable to women of those age ????

Even the young boys and girls used to be captured and raped...that's why the women used to walk into the fire along with their children! :(

Yes they didn't want even their dead bodies to be dishonored because the men used to be so enraged that they used to not let go of even the dead bodies...
