I do 15 surya namaskars every morning and 1 hour of trekking on slopes every evening and eat only home cooked dal, sabzi, yogurt, rice or chapatti, some milk plus fruit. Very little quantity still I couldn;t lose weight.
Then one day I said W*F, I stopped doing SNs and ate whatever I wanted...cream and jam sandwiches when I was watching movies at 2 am. And I lost weight in 2 days. Go figure...

Kareena looked her worst during Tashan time. Her skin looked drawn and haggard and body lost all curves and oomph.
She looked best in her Refugee.Ajnabee,Khushi days.

She's definitely been lifting because she's visibly developed a lot of core and lower body strength. She's got a lot of muscle tone now. Her upper body is still in progress, but I like that she's losing the weight by working out rather than taking mere shortcuts.

I dont know who this Rujata person is but if her recommendations are to eat daal, sabzi and roti, especially the way its cooked in the desi culture, i doubt anyone is going to lose weight.
And i also doubt kareena is following her diet. No one is going to lose weight eating grains. Weight loss comes with eliminating grains and carbs (pretty much all kinds) and increasing your intake of protein. Carbs are usually limited to 30g if you strenuously work out, otherwise below 20g is the rec allowance.

And if kareena was getting Lipo, why would she put her body through the torture of it repeatedly? Why not just do it at once?
Given that she has gained and lost weight many times, people that have lipo never have weight that returns the way it does on her body...evenly. Lipo weight comes back in all odd places and gives the body an unseemly appearance. She still has fat on her arms and her legs are still as chunky as they were when she started.

As for her face, she isn't in her 20's anymore so you're not going to find any plumpness on her face unless she gets botox a la Katrina Kaif.

first you say eliminate grains and carbs, then you say 20 g is allowed...decide first what is needed..Do you know that carbs are the main source of energy ?? Here read this will help you
https://www.nia.nih.gov/health/important-nutrients-know-proteins-carbohydrates-and-fats

at the same time, fats are also important for the body... protein is also needed, esp if you do weight train...but excess protein puts extra pressure on the kidneys, so be careful when you go on a high protein diet...

Here is another link that tells the benefits of whole grains...https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/10/whole-grains-health-benefits_n_5655022.html

By no means, Am i saying that Kareena is following Rujuta's diet... she must be doing lipo and other stuff...

but to be fit and healthy one needs to eat a wholesome meal...and that includes everything in proper proportion...

^^All of them get lipo done at some point or the other. Am sure it must be done in a way that doesn't draw attention to it- If anyone goes from overweight pregnant body to fit body in a short time, people will start talking!

But who knows- Maybe she actually didn't & her weight-loss is all natural. :)

And our meals are healthy, sabzi, dal, roti , achar. It seems a little difficult to think one can have drastic weight loss that too within a year from bloated to stick thin with out sagging skin and cellulite for a 37 year old just by a diet plan and working out for an hour. You will naturally hv a double chin and saggy cheeks. It's gravity.

She may have been 'maintaining' a certain weight with workout but I doubt it's rujutas diet and workout alone responsible for such drastic change and tightened like a drum on the face skin.

which world are you living in... in mumbai, most young ones eat out...eating knorr soup, maggi, ruffles lays, kurkure is an everyday norm... not eating home cooked food, is the fad, also take aways are quite common, also quick meals from ready made packets have become so normal... Do you know the effect all this has on the body...all these ready made eatable are loaded with sodium which puts extra pressure on the kidneys. I have seen a 20 year old girl going for dialysis when her kidneys failed to work, as a result of having these so-called soups daily, reason being she was obese and her parents thought these soups are healthy, before starting these soups, she was on a crash diet, where she used to have only legumes and liquid everyday, this when she was 16-17 years old...

House wives do care for the whole family, but neglect their own self to a large extent. I am talking about middle class people who do their own house chores, not families having 2-3 servants. There are lots of dietitians who recommend cutting down on healthy nutrients, just to give instant weight loss, like Anjali Mukherjee, VLCC, where you dont even know what powders they give you to drink on a daily basis. Major cities in India were dominated by these dietitians till past few years... I have worked in a gym for few years so i know what all women and housewives do to loose weight... You might not have come across such people, but doesnt mean they dont exist...

Nobody said you can have a drastic transformation from obese to skinny in a short duration with proper balanced diet. That is not the aim of this healthy diet. Its main aim is to improve one's health and fitness level. Get the metabolism working, the hormones acting in balance, And when everything works nicely, fat loss happens... which shows in the dress size more then the weighing scale, as muscles are heavier then fats and if one does weight training, it helps loose fat, but not much weight.

Also Maybe you didnt see my first comment, but I am also wondering the same thing about Kareena, as her drastic weight loss cannot be Rujuta's diet and workout alone.

^^I know of dietitians who say that you must cut out all fruit, meat etc from your diet! Doesn't sound healthy.

you should read her books, they are quite informative... She mainly tells about listening to your body...

main tips that i have understood and can share, is :
1. To have 5-6 small meals in a day. Make sure that body doesn't go into hunger mode.
2. If craving for sweets then try and have it in the morning, cause then it gets burned during the day's activities.
3. Workout is important, at least start with 2-3 times in a week. Also do weight training as it improves the BMR.
4. pre and post workout meals are very important.
5. Try to stick to the healthy meal plan for most part of the week and then one day can be the cheat day.
6. Also follow what ur parents n grandparents used to eat, as our native cuisine is most known to our dna and therefore easy to digest.

Nowadays she has started this online programme...check this out...
