Shraddha Kapoor is currently busy with
Stree wherein she is cast opposite
Rajkummar Rao. The movie is a horror
comedy and is being directed by Amar
Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan.
The actor was earlier prepping up for Saina
Nehwal's biopic wherein she will be playing
a titular role. There were several reports
doing the rounds that the movie has been
delayed. Shraddha has now confirmed the
delay and said, "Right now, I'm working on
Saaho, and then I will be shooting in
Chanderi for Stree. Saina will definitely
happen later."
She added, "I'm off to Chanderi now for the
shoot of Stree. It's my first movie in the
horror-comedy genre and I'm pretty excited
about it. I won't be able to watch films like
Padmaavat and PadMan, but I will watch
them soon."
When a leading tabloid asked the director
Amole Gupte about the status of the film, he
stated, "I have no idea why it is being
deduced that the film has been shelved." He
further spoke about the rolling of the film
saying, "We will start shooting this
September. It's the kind of film that requires
brewing period."
Amole added, "I have lived this film for two
years. I have been making constant trips to
Hyderabad, meeting Saina and taking notes.
It was a mammoth task to make her journey
into a script."
Meanwhile, Shraddha also spoke about
resuming work on Saaho wherein she will
be seen opposite Baahubali actor Prabhas.
Speaking about working with Prabhas,
Shraddha said, "Prabhas isn't just a good
actor, but a good human being too. I'm
pretty happy to be working in my first Hindi-
Telugu bilingual, which will also be dubbed
in other languages.
Well, Shraddha certainly has a great pipeline
of movies ahead of her. She will also be seen
in Batti Gul Meter Chalu alongside Shahid
Kapoor and Yami Gautam.
