Kangana Ranaut has been busy with
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The
actress has been filming in Jodhpur.
Recently, she hurt her foot while shooting
for intense fight sequences.
Kangana's look from the film was leaked as
some photos from the film's set surfaced
online and Kangana looked every bit royal in
those photos.
Recently, there were rumors that
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi may be
shelved due to budget constraints. Also, the
team was considering pushing the release
indefinitely and stall the film's shoot for
some months. The official release date of the
film was touted to be April 27, 2018.
Now, news comes in that the film's release
may be pushed to June. "Kangana is in
Himachal Pradesh these days, spending
some quality time with her family. She will
resume work soon, but the VFX on the film
is going to take a bit longer. So now the film
will release only in June, or maybe even July,
a source close to the film revealed to a daily.
Kangana too had rubbished reports of the
film being shelved and had stated, "Yes, we
will be completing shooting of Manikarnika
by February and will be releasing the film in
2018.
About her role in the film she had said,
"When I signed this film my first thought
was How come there's no film on Jhansi ki
Rani' yet?' I suddenly felt very fortunate that
there isn't any yet. "Because if there was
even one film on Rani Laxmibai irrespective
of its quality or content, then nobody would
have repeated it. So, I consider it a stroke of
luck that I'm doing it,
