Tiger Zinda Hai has simply annihilated the box office on Sunday. Its about the masses where despite lower collections than last years Dangal at high end multiplexes it has gone far past the Sunday number of that film. There is not much to say as the numbers say it all. The figures are still coming in but looking at the early numbers from key areas like Punjab, UP and Gujarat its looking a 44 crore nett plus Sunday. This is taking the weekend of the film to around 114 crore nett easily surpassing the 105.50 crore nett record of Sultan. The weekend daily figures looks as follows.




Friday - 34,00,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 35,50,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 44,50,00,000 (early estimate)


Grand Total - 1,14,00,00,000 apprx


The Sunday numbers show that the audience will still turn up in hordes for good cinema but sadly a major section of this industry thinks the likes of Newton and Neerja is good cinema which is laughable and shows the disconnect with the paying audience but that is a topic for another day

The last bit sounds like the ramblings of a bitter fan. 😆 And all this time I thought BOI was a credible and respectable publication but the bias for Salman is dripping all through this article. Was it necessary to take a dig at other's films to propel Salman? And if I am not mistaken, Neerja was both a critical and commercial success.

Ah, I see. 😆 I hardly follow BO sites or even enter/post in these type of threads but I found the last bit hilarious...because it sounded like a justification a fan would give. They could have just presented the data and left out the negative commentary at the end. Maybe the goal was to cause a stir, and hence receive more hits on their article. 😆
