Kings were expected to have a kadak, raubdar, strict personality. Forget kings, even the regular Rajputs, who may often be fat and non-good-looking, usually have a manly & impressive personality...but Shahid, in the poster I saw, indeed look dheela-dhala , some lover-boy kinda guy...jisko kisi ne rang birarnge kapde pehna kar zabardasti throne pe bitha diya ho... and IMO lallu-panju kinda describes it well... 😳😆

Thank God titles and privy purses were abolished in India or we would not only have been romanticising royalty but also worshiping them like we worship politicians. Yikes.

As if all kings and queens were Aishwaryas and Hrithiks (the pinnacle of good looks for Indians). Many were not aesthetically pleasing and actually had very weak personalities.

Plus, I don't see a difference between what Deepika wore in Padmavati and what these ladies are wearing in terms of the desigining. Colours and embellishments are different but the clothing is pretty similar.

How do these women know how ratan singh looked? I'm sure shahid is a much better looker than many of the present rajput community men 😆. Yes, he was lacklustre in the trailer. But he was really good in the love ballad. He and DP shared scintillating chemistry. He is a good performer. He will definitely do justice to ratan role in the movie.

I curse the day Ranveer signed a film with this guy, that day be damned forever !!
not becoz of his looks/acting but his professionalism or the lack of it.
Ranveer worked before in multistarrers, it was never like this, it was banter and camaraderie with his male costars in the process of shooting the film and promotions.
with this guy its torture and torture an more torture. I've never seen this much negativity before.
