Stooping to a new low, protesters on Friday staged a mock hanging of an effigy of Deepika Padukone along with the effigies of Padmavati's director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Salman Khan.
The reason for the mock hanging of Salman Khan is yet to be ascertained.

According to reports, shots were fired, effigies were burnt and swords were drawn at Karni Sena's protest site near Chittorgarh fort.
The protesters said the protests will continue till a ban gets imposed on the movie Padmavati'.

Meanwhile, A lawyer on Friday filed a fresh petition in the Supreme Court against 'Padmavati' film seeking removal of objectionable scenes from the movie. The Apex Court said it would consider the plea, but refused to give any date for hearing.
Lawyer, Manohar Lal Sharma, filed a fresh plea in the Top Court seeking deletion of objectionable scenes from the film.
Earlier on November 10, the Supreme Court rejected the petition filed against the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmavati', saying the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has not yet issued a certificate to the movie.
On Thursday, the Karni Sena issued a threat to Deepika saying if she doesn't stop instigating, they will chop off her nose.
