BI,

two culture never exist in one place...

there are many instant where the rajputs have given their daughter to muslim rulers and other instant there is the saying that few district had witnessed jauhar as it was believed that muslims not only raped living women but even not hesitated to rape dead bodies of women...

Now come to Maharashtra,

not one single incident is written here where there is a saying that Mughals raped dead bodies

you must be knowing that last war has happened between Shivaji clan and Mughals and it was all in one notion NO DEALS...either i kill you or or will get killed by you...no middle deal...

what really happened there is a matter of debate but if you see with kind of deals happening there (RAJASHTHAN) and not here (MAHARASHTRA) were most war at end happened...

then acts like jauhar is totally has perspective of loser mind set whoever have conceived that idea..

same case with Sati...the mentality with which that idea was considered is a loser mentality...

in no way i am demeaning WOMEN...the ideas must have been thrown by LOSER men...

rest one can agree to disagree

FITB Bhaiya...why are u comparing Sati with Jauhar?? those two are poles apart...Sati was supposed to take place because of the belief that women did not have the right to live and enjoy this world after their husband died...while Jauhar was done by the women to save themselves from getting raped...similarity kahan hai dono mein??

similarity hi similarity hai ...farq itni hai ki Sati ke waqt ek women hoti hai and Jauhar ke waqt many

BI national debate ho chuka hai iss pe during 2000

header tha

how Kings of Rajasthan uphold the palaces and not the Kings of Maharashtra whose palaces are in ruins

Jauhar of Sindh: Muhammad bin Qasim[

In 712, Muhammed bin Qasim with his army attacked kingdoms of western regions of the Indian subcontinent. He laid siege to the capital of Dahir, then the Hindu king in a part of Sindh. After Dahir had been killed, the queen coordinated the defense of the capital for several months. As the food supplies ran out, she and the women of the capital refused to surrender, lit pyres and committed jauhar. The remaining men walked out to their death at the hands of the invading army

Dude shut up, you are not a woman now nor were you then to know what women have been suffering from. Keep your ridiculous judgements bout women committing Jauhar to yourself. Stop trivialising the trauma of rape. And are you seriously putting up becoming a sex slave as a more courageous alternative. W*F is wrong with you?

And go learn history before talking about the Maharashtrians or Marathas. Mughals were not pillaging marauders like Khilji. Marathas did not have to face Khilji's wrath like the Rajputs did. Deogiri was the only kingdom that he attacked in Deccan and that too was resolved initially by payment of tributes. As a matter of fact the marauding Turks did not even cross the Vindhyas prior to Khilji, so the Maratha heartland remained safe unlike the Rajputs who in the north-west were left to defend the country. By the time Marathas emerged under the aegis of Shivaji, the political landscape had changed significantly and the rape by marauding armies had reduced as Mughals were infinitely more refined and less barbaric.

So stop drawing a false equivalence between Laxmibai and Padmini. Go read some history and develop some empathy too if possible.

Since you are so well read get straight to the point you are making. And what am I ignoring? I am questioning the rationality of your argument while stating facts.
