The song is so bad, quite forgettable. Deewani Mastani and Nagada songs were musically much better

And the weirdest part is most of it is sung in male voice while not a single male is shown singing

Ghoomar is mostly sung by women and only women dance to it

DP looks pretty but not the amazing beauty that Padmavati was supposed to be

She has danced better here than in Deewani Mastani

but the choreography missed many signature Ghoomar steps and hand movements

The Sepia colors makes the background look blurry and bland

Shahid doesnt look impressive as Rana or old enough to be husband to both ladies.

But his expressions are apt, first pride and then concern in his eyes are expressed well

The word has a pretty significant meaning in Swedish and I can't get that out of my head while watching the song.

Baisa- A term respectfully used to refer to a Rajput female.

I think Baisa in this song refered to the co-wife of Padmavati, her older sautan who was watching her dance with a stern face

what does it mean in Swedish? 😆

Thank you for posting these songs.

These are authentic moves and Deepika has done full justice to the choreography.

The steps look simple but hard to act.

Also,instead of opposing Karni Sena should be promoting Padmavati. A form of dance and a legend of Padmavati that they seem to be so proud of but most people didn't know existed is being created in the best way possible for people to watch and is being immortalized in the form of cinema with so much grandeur and dignity.

@KK - agree on that. Karni sena should be proud and promote the movie...i hope they realize it..

n about the dance form, ya they do look simple but its hard to achieve that perfection.. I'm glad SLB kept the authentic steps of Ghoomar.. with that heavy lehenga, jewellery n then fire its really really hard but glad DP pulled it off...

1st of all Deepika looks absolutely Stunning, so regal, she has that aura her dance is very graceful, grandeur & moves are on point but the song isnt catchy at all, Shreya Ghoshal fails to deliver, worst thing about this song IMO.

Okay, after watching it few times , I think , I am loving this. I loved DP's hand and hip movements in the beginning,so good.And her twirls with diyas looked beautiful. The Isthecolour tone due to that the dance is being performed in outdoors during dusk/ night? I don't know.

Also I am liking the BG dancers too.

This is absolutely brilliant ! LOVED LOVED LOVED the ending part of the dance. Deepika was SO into it. As for the starting, loved how she started the dance with eyes almost closed and then let herself sync in the mode.

Shahid Kapoor lived upto my expectation of nothing. Not surprised there. No screen presence or physique of a king at all, sorry. 🤔

Visually the dance was stunning, music was AWESOME and so were the BG dancers. 👏 Wish there would be some more close-up shot of Padmini and a bit more light. But okay for now. 😎

Wow. I didn't think Deewani Mastani could ever be topped. By anyone. Ever. But this is exactly how you do a follow-up to the best song of the decade.

First of all, the song. My god, the vocals. The second Shreya-ji's voice came on, I nearly had a cardiac arrest. She sounds like a goddess. The sound production/engineering on the track is stellar. SLB is definitely getting high and making these tunes because they are out of this world. (I may be a bit tipsy right now)

But this is a fully enriching and fly encapsulating audio-visual experience they are serving.

Deepikaaa omg, she's taken it to the next level yet again. Those moves. Perhaps only real dancers will know and see how perfectly she nailed those slight infections, the way she stops just before she turns. It's just magic.

There are a few expressions where I felt she shouldn't have smiled but it probably goes with the song. But oh my word. This song is soul snatching. I love the look.

One thing that is totally different from Mastani is her body language. Then she was young lady feels, but here she is all WOMAN. The way she's moving, the way she's serving those hip turns, and the heavier arm movements are 100% queen. Okbye xxx
