Stunnah.

😳

Gives me Madhubala vibes here.

She has a lovely smile and such a sweet face. Classic Indian face for sure.

As for her weight, well, people have many problems. We don't know what they are and how they deal with it. Healthy or unhealthy, up to her.

Don't see these comments for very skinny people when they could be unhealthy too. Just because you have a few extra kgs on you does not automatically indicate that one is unhealthy. Models like Ashley Graham work out, just maybe not with the intention of losing weight.

I think her look would be considered 'normal' in the 60s, so perception of the human body is a lot about trends.

I think so much weight is a sign of some health issues. I have been through this cycle nuself, stubbornly refusing to accept something might be wrong. I mean the world is full of fat shamers. But a regular check up to the doctor was a total shock for me. While I was happily thinking i am adorably chubby, aside feom other hormonal issues, I was inching dangerously close to having a heart attack. It took me two years to turn my life around, still need different medicines and have to maintain a strong exercise regimen without any excuse. When your body gives you a rude wake of call, stressful work hour, personal life everything takes a back seat.
For someone who vociferously defend everyone's right to live, I do tend to advise people who have gained significant weight in recent timw to check themselves out once. More often than not, there is something going on and a healthy body weight close to ideal weight is an indication of healthy life.
Thin people may also have health problems, weight loss is a part of some problems. Many people tend to starve themselves , suffer from aneroxia, has no muscle definition at all. Their thinness is also not healthy.

If a person has muscle definition, generally it can be argued that the person is healthy irrespective of thin or fat as the person is exercising and eating properly.

I feel due to continuous criticism that Vidya faced for her voluptuous body at a time when it was not so acceptable, she has somewhat grown a bit obstinate with checking her weight gain.

Happens when you get fat shamed a lot unnecessarily. Happened to me too.

Anyway I am a bit bored hence this long post.

@bold- Agreed.

My comment was meant to highlight the general tendency of Indian society to bully anyone who is not the 'ideal' weight. Honestly, it does not help in the least. Not saying people here are doing that; many people, especially those older than us feel they have the right to shame our bodies.

Constructive criticism is one thing but nasty jibes that come from outsiders don't help. I also think somebody's weight is their and the loved ones' concern. The whole world does not need to provide their opinion.

Vidya- We don't know what her blood reports say, what her doctor says or anything. This 'unhealthy' accusation is leveled easily when somebody's 'fat' but not when someone's skinny. Skinny is just assumed to be healthy even if such a person's arteries could be clogged.

Sonakshi gets fat shamed but hell, she isn't fat. She works out and leads a healthy life. That's just her frame. People are never satisfied.

I certainly don't believe people who 'fat shame' are worried about the person's health. They just wanna bring them down.

I will never endorse an unhealthy weight as beautiful but I will not bully or troll people for their weight either. Endorsing someone who is 250 say for 5'3 , and is on the verge of having a stroke calling them to endorse their beauty the way they are is not beautiful. Neither is going around bullying and trolling people who are over weight. There is a proper way to sit down with them and inform their health is at risk.

I agree to the weird obsession of our society with unhealthy thin figures and at the same time complaining about the loss of classical Indian curves in the same breath. That's why I used fat shamer a lot.

Somehow Indiana don't even realise they are infringing upon someone's privacy when they unnecessarily fat shame someone

Even thin people are thin shamed and made fun of , although its not as rampant as fat shaming.

Social media has given rise to a lot of people unnecessarily poking ans offering comments to something they have no right to comment on.

And we have no Idea of what's healthy and not. They have unrealistic idea od human body.

Sonalshi is a great example

She is not fat
She has muscle definition

She is healthy
She is not starving herself
