When it comes to Alia, I don't care who backed her and how aggressively. In my opinion, she's an amazing actress!

Here is my true opinion

Only hardwork can get you success trust me that is what i have always seen not even smart work but only true hard work and talent can get you success and nothing else.No one can be successful with out working hard

Since we are talking about nepotism i would say that outsiders need to work harder to get the same success.That much i can agree. But if you say star kids don't have to work hard at all and get success without hard work and talent i would say no ,not possible at all.

"People can go on and on about how deserving starkids RK & Alia are since they are oh so talented (personally I find them criminally overhyped & overrated especially the latter) and although nepotism isn't a crime, but the media, critics & industry created illusion for them can be called a scam of sorts...

Kjo actually takes Alia everywhere (to promote her as some Big shot) from a channel opening to film festivals to even Indian Economic Summit 😆

He dedicated entire KWK season 4 & 5 to hype Ranbir & Alia respectively 😆 as soon as Alia delivered a BO Disaster Shaandar during Dussera, Kjo fatt se announced a heroine centric Dear Zindagi directed by Gauri EV Shinde with SRK in supporting role 😆

After all this he has the gall to whine about this issue 😆"

As for Varun, more than anything his Box office numbers & that never seen before 100% success ratio speak for him, come on the guy has delivered 2, 100 Cr Superhits in a nightmare of an year like 2017 with over 155 Flops, where biggest of stars have failed. As for so called Kjo factor, well he has only done 2 films with Dharma post his debut,(while likes of Ranveer & Anushka have done around 5-6 with Yrf) Kjo has always favoured Sid more, Alia most IMO till 2015 happened and Varun delivered a 100 Cr ABCD2 during Ramazan right after an A-Rated niche Clean Hit Badlapur.

As for his family, David Dhawan was going through his worst phase after Disasters like Rascals, MHTHH(with stars like Ajay & Sanju publicly lynching him) when Varun made his debut in SOTY playing secondary role to "Outsider" Sid.

If u gonna say that he worked with his brother the lemme say in advance, that he only had a Flop "Desi Boyz" b4 directing him & nearly jeopardizing Varun's 100% record 😆

In a nutshell, 9 successes in a Row is a no mean feat, and I doubt any other young actor can pull off the kind of contentless films he has made successful 😆, his future line up looks very promising and will help him to prove his versatility.

Phew...this was a longgg...one 😆

I do agree with alia that 80% of her success is attributed to karan. But how is that same of varun.

Unlike alia karan doesn't take varun in every frickin dharma film, he doesn't goes to criticallly acclaimed director to take varun, he doesnt lobby for award for varun, he doesn't make an entire season of Kwk promoting varun like he did for alia and ranbir, he doesn't go on to call him superstar everywhere, he doesn't take varun to events like economic forum with him, and neither does he handles his pr by attaching his name to every of his co star like he does for alia, and varun has done just 2 films with karan after the debut, even ranbir has done more

And even after gaining so much success the industry still does not go gaga over varun like they do for alia and ranbir.

So no its not just nepotism for varun. But still nepotism still played a huge role in varuns entery in bollywood

also how does sid get another dharma movie (ittefaq) after giving disasters to dharma like brothers and baar baar dekho..

and please..judwa 2 is about to be the highest grossing BW movie for 2017 thus far..if some one thinks karan johar is paying the audience to go and make it the highest grossing movie..i cannot say anything to them

And about supossedly safe commercial films then why did gunday, befikre, kill dill,besheram,tevar,half girlfriend, raabta,baar baar dekho,a gentleman, flying jatt etc etc failed to make a mark.

Karan Johar doesn't support Sid the way he does for Varun and Alia. We all know it. The support is there...but its not as strong.

Also - Sid is doing very well for someone who has no talent. With the exception of Brothers/Gentlemen, most of his films have done somewhat well. Lets not forget he got a 100 crore movie BEFORE VARUN did with Ek Villain (which was given to him because of the Karan-Ekta angle)

Also you cant compare Besharam/Befikre to Judwa-2. And if you're referring to HSKD or BDK - then Ranbir also has YJTH and Ranveer BBB etc.

Varun and Alia haven't worked in a "bad film" yet. They've been very smart with their decisions unlike Sid who has picked bad choices. But look as Sid's upcoming films, they seems very strong. Too strong for someone like him who according to this forum is the worst actor ever.
