Kangana Ranaut's performance as Tanuja Trivedi (Tanu) in Tanu Weds Manu was loved by one and all. The Aanand L Rai directorial helped in establishing the actress as one of the strongest performers in Bollywood today. And now there's a good news for the fans. Both Kangana and Rai have confirmed that Tanu Weds Manu 3 is on the cards. As per an official press release sent by Kangana's team, the work on the film is about to begin and both the actress and the director are excited about the project.

In fact, Kangana will get onto this post the completion of Manikarnika, her very ambitious project that entails the life of Queen of Jhansi. Confirming the news, she said: "Yes, I will be meeting Aanand L Rai after I am done with Manikarnika, while Rai said: "We will start working on the script once I finish my film (the Shah Rukh Khan starrer). While Kangana has given her nod, it would be interesting to see if R Madhavan also becomes a part of the film or not.

However, minutes after the official statement released from Kangana's Team, director Aanand L Rai said that there are no plans to make Tanu Weds Manu 3 and he is currently concentrating on the yet untitled film starring Shah Rukh Khan in lead. After finishing the work on the ambitious project, the director would start shooting for his next starring Dhanush in lead.
