What the hell is Mahesh Bhatt thinking?

I know it doesn't totally apply to the BW forum, but I really wanted to bring it up. His new show 'Tu Aashiqui' is on colors TV and the young female lead is sold by her mom and she is playing the role of a mistress of a much older man. I have nothing against the concept so far (as long as it's portrayed as a crime), as I do know it happens in real life. But what disturbs me is the fact that a 15-16 year old is playing role of a 18 year old mistress on-screen. Seriously, does the TV industry really have a dearth of actresses that a 15-16 year old has to play such a mature role? What is Mahesh Bhatt thinking? And what were the actress' parents thinking? At the age of 15-16, I don't recall even knowing about such concepts and they are introducing such concepts to a 15-16 year old? Seriously, what worries me more is the fact that fans are busy raving about how unique the show is instead of worrying about how disgusting it is to have a 15-16 year old play such a role.

The shows lead Jannat is 16 not 14. But yeah she looks way too young and that baby voice and thin physique doesn't help either. The show would have been fine if they had cut out the romantic angle and shown the age of the lead as it was. But then I guess it would have looked like an episode from Crime Patrol 😕 ..

But Gauri Pradhan is really killing it as the evil mom. 👏

Does the show involve the actress doing adult scenes or does it show the physical intimacy side of the relationship and such?

Like Kangana said, this industry people love showing and encouraging paedophilic tendencies.

If yes, then she is a minor and the producer/director whoever is in charge shouldn't be casting her, in such a role making her do adult stuff, it is unethical.

Lol Jannat went to rant on insta on her birthday claiming she turned 16 running onto 17 this August so she was good enough to play a barely adult 18 yr old. She also presented her aadhar card as proof and claimed how her dad will try to fix the wrong birth dates on the net as soon as he can... 😆

So much drama to increase her age... Then there are some actresses in BW who have been stuck at 30 for 5 years now... Looks like all actresses are insecure about their age. 😆

Even Avika Gaur was cast opposite a 25plus man in Sasural simar ka show when she was just 15 or 16 i guess. These things happen in tv shows. The parents shouldn't let their kids be a part of such shows.
