everyone knows. Going by the dictionary,
Nepotism is 'the practice among those with
power or influence of favouring relatives or
friends, especially by giving them jobs.' Well,
this word has created a stir in the whole of
the media industry. How? Kangana Ranaut
initiated the debate with her statement in
Koffee With Karan - "In my biopic, if it is ever
made, you will play the stereotypical villain.
One who is intolerant of outsiders.. the flag-
bearer of nepotism in Bollywood and movie
mafia.
Recently, Aamir Khan was asked about
Nepotism at the GQ Men of The Year 2017
Awards. He said, "It's everywhere in the
world. As far as I am concerned, I believe
that people who know how to work - be it
actors or technicians - we would like to
work with them. It doesn't matter if that
person belongs to my family or not."
Earlier, at an event, he had said, "In general, I
think it's a very normal human emotion to
try and help people who you love and care
for. It doesn't have to be someone who is
part of your family, it could be someone you
care for. It's a very natural emotion. I try to
make sure that in my work, I don't let it
interface. As a creative person, I am
responsible to my audience and I give huge
importance to that. I try not to bring
emotions in my work."
On the work front, the actor will next be
seen in Thugs Of Hindostan.
