Firstly, No! I didn't comapre DP to Kangy. I compared the fact that her substantial hits have been praised to universe while another actress who happens to be DP gave 3 hits in a year.

Secondly, If anybody finds DP bad as an actor then that's an opinion, not a Fact. I find DP great in some roles and that's also an opinion. But the fact is she has been able to find that connect with audiences. PR or No PR, she's done some fabulous work for herself and has managed to win plenty of hearts in this country which did translate to BO

Thirdly, Like I said, It's not about DP but the assumption that there is a lack of talent. Talent cannot prosper in isolation. It needs all the right ingrediants.

Fourthly, About my BO knowledge. I am sorry for not studying that as a part of education but I go by the general thought and AFAIK, films that were sold in her name are the ones that I consider her own hits. Krish and Kites were HR/PC ventures. Heck! I didn't even know till this controversy that she was in Krish.

Kangana was phenomenal in Simran its a shame the movie is only playing in a few theatres - even if this girls careers ends today in my eyes she will still be a legend. Not only because of her Talent but also because of her bravery. Shes ready to take on the big GUNS, shatter the glass ceiling and nepotism which needed to happen even if its the stake of her own career. No more bowing down and fake schmoozing anymore!

It's fine if she wants to move to direction, But she needs to change her attitude if she wants to be in the industry. No matter what she wants to do, acting or directing or whatever, you need to know how to be humble if you want to work anywhere.

As for Kangana's poor box office record, I don't get it. None of the so-called top actresses like Deepika, Alia, Anushka are crowd pullers either. Sad truth is no actress is bankable at the present time. They can't make a movie Hit on their own without good WOM.
It's just that Kangana has not worked with Superstars or bankable stars, so her filmography doesn't shines with so-called highest grossers or Blockbusters.
What was the opening of Piku, DZ or Phillauri?? Not to forget those movies also had Big B, SRK and Diljit.

Box office is not a right parameter to judge the popularity of today's actresses. Because most of the time actresses are piggybacking behind the male lead.
Bashing Kangana only on the basis of box office doesn't makes any sense unless you just want to mock her.

Also to add if big banners boycott her im sure there will always be small producers willing to take her on. As long as public likes her no one can take her down.

Talented to Manoj Bajpai, Naseeruddin Shah (I'm not comparing their talent to KR though, they're in a completely different league) bi ha... why aren't they getting any movies then? Unlike Kangu they didn't even burn bridges with the rest of the industry.

In any industry .. its more of soft skills than hard skills that are valued. Yes talented( only positive).. but there are other heroines who are more talented, bad dialog delivery, less fanfollowing , self indulgence, flops, less revenue, want high pay checks, interfere in scripts , don't work with khans, not top heroes choice becos of digs ,do only substantial roles and on top of that capable to turn against on anyone, don't get along with colleagues, no humbleness ..with these attributes in resume.. her being selected is little rare.
