Kumar Sanu became a top playback singer because Nadeem Shravan used to give him their best songs in their peak.
That was one of the key reasons behind his success.
I personally found him to be the weakest singer of the 90s in terms of vocal ability.

Not denying that he gets the feel of the song spot on.. dude. But sometimes I feel he overdoes it.but that's neither here nor there. He is the undoubted king of playback singing and my personal favourite!!

Oh. I had no idea. I haven't listened to Kumar Sanu so much. I just remember that I used to love the songs of 1942 a love story a lot. Other than that he wasn't as versatile as Udit ji that's for sure, but he had a beautiful voice.
