Sri, I know that a lot of people view feminists this way and it makes me really sad. I hope you will reconsider. Feminism (the word) is so frequently misused that people have started to believe it means things it doesn't.

It is not supposed to be violent or arrogant. Its not supposed to be an excuse to treat other women or men badly. It's supposed to get rid of the superiority - inferiority assigned to male and female. Feminine traits are not better or inferior to masculine traits. What we call feminine and masculine doesn't have to belong to only women and men respectively. Feminism should be empowering to both sexes. Women can still be "womanly" and great mathematicians, scientists, and leaders. Men can still be "manly" and sensitive, nurturing, and caring. Feminism says neither men nor women should be advanced or limited purely because of their sex.

I get what you mean. I think I wrote that straight after watching aaj tak journal video about hrithik asking to remove questions about Kangana...it's frustrating.

Haven't you read the thread of aaj tak in IF? There are two journals going on and on how braves Kangana is and derogatory comments on HR.
Last year it seems the interviewer asked HR about Kangana ...and HR gave a decent answer...whether people say truth or lies , It doesn't matter to him. And HR later called aaj tak and asked to remove that question. People have even objection to decency.

Affairs don't have much to do with feminism. Lekin Kangana ka band toh main isliye bajati hun cus she acts like she holds a higher moral ground, plays the victim and holds the most absurd, flawed notions regarding feminism herself.
Ab uske Barkha Dutt vale IV main hi when asked about the DNA reporter who published that she uses her period blood to make laddoos. Kangana goes ahead and says that when an educated woman of a daily does this to another woman -silence- and she takes a lot of pride in being a woman so she has nothing to say "but oh shit BEEP BEEP"
Aur dusra ki when she had affairs with married men, it was solely their fault because she wasn't cheating on her spouse. I mean W*F does she smoke? 😆
Victimgana's philosophy is dunia ek taraf aur main queen of lies ek taraf.

In case of Kangana - Hrithik, the issue is not the affair but the aftermath. The fact that Hrithik broadcasted Kangana's private emails and photos with the intention to violate her integrity and used his money and power to intimidate her or silence her is wrong. Feminism not just advocates gender equality and rights but also promotes protection against such harassment/intimidation etc
However without hearing Hrithik' side of story it will be difficult to judge who is the real victim in this situation!

The same can be said about Kangana too dear. They both had consensual sex and I am sure Kangana was not a fool to believe that HR would marry her despite giving no official status to her for 7 years as she claims, YET she went ahead and started dropping BIG hints in media which became quite evident after she referred HIM as her 'silly ex'. Did she ask HR whether she can make it public or not ? There are certain things which are not discussed but given that they would remain private, be it emails or immoral activities. If one breaches that, the other one has full right to do the same.

@ OT - Yes I agree nothing to do with feminism door door tak I have been screaming loud since forever now 😆.

@ Sri-R - Please don't hate feminists, the ones who actually practise it, might not be either aggressive or arrogant. I have seen women leaving seats to men when there are no reserved seats for Males but only for Females, because a true blue feminists would find that wrong too IMO. 😊 There are bigger issues Feminists are fighting for, like equal pay, having the options to choose on career paths, equal respect at workplaces etc. The number of feminists for the above cause are far bigger than the ones who are fighting for feminism for smoking, drinking, indecent behaviour and cover themselves up for immoral/illegal acts. 🥱 Hope you understand 😊

-If a female has the same job as a male. Starts at 9 and finishes at 5. Same hours they should be paid the same. - What if the female has more experience or is willing to work later than the male? Should she be paid the same as the male?

-Females should have the same access to education as males and job opportunities if they have the skills for that job. - Education is a commodity not everyone will have access to the same education.

-If a male and female are considered for a promotion and the female is more qualified she should not be overlooked because some think women can not lead. - do you have any other reason except institutional sexism, why many females are not in the high profile jobs?
