Haha I was guessing the reason. Posting cover pics or from the shoot is definitely NOT against the site rules, but they bothered to trash the posts 4 times in one day, clearly whoever is taking action has personal issues with the ladies' pics 😉

I have not seen the threads to be honest so do not know but if magazine inside scans are posted threads are trashed always due to copyright issues.

^There were two posts: One where only the cover was posted - trashed.

Second where the images were posted, not scans - trashed again. These images were put up by the magazine on social media.

Now we are free to share anything we come across on social media as long as we are not claiming credit for it. So why are they surreptitiously trashed without even being given a reason?

I sent a PM to one of the mods and she said that its okay to just post the cover but not the magazine scans from inside and that this is written in the rules too (which I had checked already and that's why I was surprised that topics with magazine covers only were disappearing too) and she said that she'll check in with the other mods and then inform me on why they were trashed.

AFAIK the first topic about Aish had only the magazine cover. - maybe this one was removed by mistake?

The second one had the cover + other pictures from the same photoshoot for Grazia. - I guess this isn't allowed anymore because the rest of the photoshoot is found INSIDE the magazine? I could be wrong tho.

PC's first topic had the magazine cover + multiple pictures from the same Vogue photoshoot. - I guess this isn't allowed anymore because the rest of the photoshoot is found INSIDE the magazine? I could be wrong tho.

PC's second topic didn't have the magazine cover but it has only one photograph from the same Vogue photoshoot. Is that one still there? I haven't checked.

It's only wrong if an inside scan is made public, which would discourage someone from buying a magazine because they have already seen the inside content. It's akin to piracy. But there is nothing wrong in posting stuff posted in public by magazine themselves right?

I guess mods are confused about copyright. Either that or they have misunderstood the rules.

Yeah, I agree. They might be a little confused and probably need to clear things with Vijan about what's allowed and what isn't.

IMO if something is posted publicly all over social media by the magazine itself and other bloggers then most likely there's no copyright issue.
