Is Akshay Kumar the most versatile actor in Bollywood?

ok. But by that logic even salman is a great actor just because he has tried different kind of roles in his career.versatility is not about picking different roles but being able to excel them in such a way that you can't differentiate the actor from the character. Has akshay given such kind of performance?No,i don't think so. even in his cult movie he got overshadowed by paresh rawal.

akki does act quite well now and has been giving consistently hits. but that's it.his acting skills are still not very polished now.

Unrivalled in comedy and action.
Excellent in drama, thrillers.
Good but could be better in romance.

If he's not the most versatile he's definitely up there especially considering how far ahead he's of his peers in Comedy and action. More importantly he can fit into most roles which not many can't. Another thing to consider is an Akshay film takes 45 days to shoot, it's one take and done, unlike a year it takes for others. If he chose to give retakes after retakes he could be even better. Akshay Kumar has come a long way.
